Product Description

Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1 is a synthetic lipopeptide formed by conjugating palmitic acid to the tripeptide sequence glycine-histidine-lysine (Gly-His-Lys or GHK). The addition of the palmitoyl group creates a lipophilic derivative of GHK and distinguishes Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1 from the unconjugated GHK peptide.

The molecule combines a three-amino-acid peptide sequence with a C16 fatty-acid chain derived from palmitic acid. This structural modification increases the lipophilic character of the molecule, making PAL-1 particularly relevant to the development of topical cosmetic formulations and peptide-based ingredient systems.

Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1 is widely recognized as a cosmetic peptide ingredient and is frequently used in sophisticated skincare formulation concepts, including products designed to improve the appearance of mature, dry, or environmentally stressed skin.

PAL-1 should not be confused with GHK-Cu (Copper Tripeptide-1). Although both contain the Gly-His-Lys peptide sequence, Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1 is a palmitoylated derivative of GHK, while GHK-Cu is a copper-complexed peptide. These are chemically distinct cosmetic raw materials and should be formulated according to their individual specifications.

Cosmetic Formulation Applications

Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1 is supplied for incorporation into professionally developed cosmetic and personal care formulations. Its concentrated powder format provides flexibility for laboratory-scale development, prototype formulation, manufacturing, and peptide ingredient-system evaluation.

Potential formulation categories include:

• Cosmetic serums
• Anti-aging cosmetic formulations
• Facial creams and lotions
• Eye-area cosmetic formulations
• Gel and emulsion-based formulations
• Moisturizing and conditioning products
• Peptide-containing skincare systems
• Professional cosmetic product development
• Laboratory formulation and stability testing

Compatibility, processing conditions, concentration, pH, solubilization method, preservation systems, and stability should be determined by the formulator for each finished formulation.

Handling & Storage

Keep the material tightly sealed and protected from excessive heat, light, and moisture. Storage conditions should follow the recommendations provided with the product's batch documentation or Certificate of Analysis.

As with other peptide raw materials, unnecessary exposure to moisture and repeated temperature fluctuations should be minimized. Appropriate laboratory handling procedures should be followed when weighing, transferring, or incorporating the powder into formulations.

Intended Use

For cosmetic formulation and manufacturing purposes only. Not intended for injection, ingestion, or use as a pharmaceutical product. This product is not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent disease.

The purchaser and finished-product manufacturer are responsible for determining appropriate formulation conditions, ingredient compatibility, concentration, stability, safety, labeling, and compliance with all applicable regulations.
